Wendy Brandon

Currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Auckland, Wendy seeks out places undergoing transformative change, returning to them over extended periods of time to record seasonal, and topographical changes.

Her work explores themes of memory, loss, time, and the interconnectedness of all things.

These images from The Remembrance Project were made in Wendy's hometown of Kawerau, a town constructed on an old, storied landscape.

Wendy acknowledges Ngati Tuwharetoa as the kaitiakitanga of the land on which this work was made.
