This Fragile Skin

"This Fragile Skin" began as a series of found images; windows and doorways and brief observed moments.

​

These photographs were a way of exploring my thinking at a time when my sister had cancer.

I was also photographing my family to preserve our last days with Anne. The portraits kept making their way into the series and Anne accepted this documentation of difficult times.

 

It was always going to be a book but in the end it was also a type of therapy.
